I agree! One of the criteria used when measuring any business is the planning and neatness of the physical plant. However there are others. For instance, the rectitude and foresightedness of the planning process and its execution. The ongoing appropriateness of strategic and tactical decisions, which would have to be considered "big picture" determinations requiring intimate knowlege of supply, demand metrics and conditions.
It is not enough to know just the mechanics of designing and building a physical plant. It is also the intuitive knowledge of ones market environment so as to anticipate the likelihood of various outcomes and therefore predict strategies likely to benefit from market place realities. A metric by which Connacher Management has in the past year, left something to be desired!
