Hey Iletea, you don't have to answer the question. Makes no difference to me.

However, to clarify, I wasn't asking it to create a "bragging contest." This is a stock forum and the question is intended as a legitimate point of discussion.

I appreciate West5440, Moguely and and Tommy2tone's responses. You'll notice Moguely mentions having made some buys on the high side and then suffering a temporary "stomach ache" when the s/p dropped to 90 cents. That's interesting to me because I had some dry powder at that time but only spent at fraction of it at 90 because there was a possibility to get more at 80 or 70. Hindsight is a glorious and frustrating thing.

The point is, there are all sorts of scenarios that have played out. If they're not of interest to you then just skip the messages with the high/low purchase price title.
