The most important think I remember from my negotiation courses is to bargain with a long-term relationship in mind. Bargaining for one-time transactions (i.e., you will never see the guy again) has a much different look and feel that bargaining with a respected colleague in the field with whom you will hopefully collaborate into the future on a variety of initiatives.

With this in mind, there are a few things that keeping up for me:

1. Teck invited Elmer onto the Liard Board of Directors. What a vote of confidence!

2. Teck needs competent, proven exploration geologists with a track record ---> Elmer.

3. Less than 1% Schaft Creek area has been studied with tremendous upside potential for the rest. Who are they going to turn to -----> Elmer

Is this the guy you want to rip off and short change at the bargaining table? I think not. From what I see, Teck has a synergistic relationship with Elmer and Copper Fox. I think they will compensate him fairly for developing the Schaft Creek deposit and will be lucky to keep him closely involved in the Golden Triangle in the future. After all, Elmer does have other opportunities: Boxxer, Arizona, etc. Cheers, Stockfriend
