I'm pleased that it worked out in our favor, but it hasn't washed the bitter taste in my mouth from this whole experience. I think there needs to be some further action in terms of management, as this was a colossal F'up of global proportions.

"oops, we didn't know that that would affect the expiration date..." just doesn't cut it for me. Actually, they didn't even do that. They tried to make out that it was some sort of technical error, not something that they missed.

Someone should have had their eye on the ball, and we got really, really lucky.
