It's unlikely Teck would have disclosed to anyone at Copper Fox during their JV meetings anything about the coal sale. That type of stuff is super confidential and even people in Teck's copper division would not be kept in the loop based on my experiences in a large resource company. Moving fast on the copper division though makes sense. A major shareholder had strongly criticized Teck for not moving on copper enough about a year or two ago.
