Promise?
I'm not sure if his flippant answer was founded in a belief that $6 to $7 copper is that far away, i.e. not understanding how quickly copper prices can change, or, if he believes, as I do, that this price level (whenever it may happen) will cause majors to lose their discipline in a wild bidding war.
$6 copper is only a 30% price rise from $4.50. The way copper has historically surged wildly higher once momentum starts in a bull market, copper could be in the $6 to $7 range within a year, or even less. There have been many examples of copper doubling to trippling in price within a year or two.

My concern is that when copper surges to $6 to $7, Ernesto will start thinking of waiting for $10 copper to determine fair value...
