It seems reporters are grasping at straws to figure out what is going on with mining. Without a statements from someone in the lead SANZ, ORTEGA, or HUGO it will just be speculations as to what is happening.

Curious why no government organization has come out saying anything. If this was a true denial of mining in the region I would think the military would be there to move people away. Furthermore, if the government does not want to mine this area because of environmental reasons than they would have to guard this site forever to prevent illegal mining. I can't see Hugo wasting military and money to gaurd this site forever.

The worst part of this is waiting for clarification. I am waiting for some clarification either from GT, RF, or RM on this matter. Even better a comment from the Venezuelian government.
