Jeff, you are right. At the time this decission by KRY was made, copper was around $1 per pound, (If memory serves). However, you fail to mention that Gold was somehere in the $300 range.
So without going into detailed calculations, it seems to make sense, that if both Cu and Au tripled, the economics are probably still the same.
Moreover the Au grade at LC is higher than at Brisas, whereas the Cu grade at LC is much lower than Brisas and is limited to a relatively small area of LC.
