Government responds to the Church
Wednesday, 08 of April of 2009

In an official notice issued by the Minci, the national Government rejected the warning that makes the CEV on the risks of the democracy, and said that he tries to generate a destabilization climate, while he attacked the Venezuelan bishops accusing them to give to protection to assassins and rapists, and to have supported the blow of the 2002. Own president Hugo Chavez, from Beijing, called inquisidores to the bishops.

The Ministry of Communication of Information issued east Tuesday an official notice to respond to which the Venezuelan Episcopal Conference did public the day before, warning on the risk that runs the Venezuelan democracy.

“A new official notice of jerarcas of the Venezuelan Catholic Church is added to the extremist voices that try to generate a destabilization climate in the country”, it indicates the text official.

He adds that the government is not surprised, because “from 1998, the cupola of the Episcopal Conference of Venezuela (CEV) has determined position before the country against the propose transforming option by President Cold Hugo Chavez and the Bolivariana Revolution”.

According to the Minci, “known enough he is, in addition, the paper of this small group of bishops in the coup d'etat of year 2002, guaranteeing even with his presence in the Palace of Miraflores the facist regime that tried to prevail in our country. In this occasion, its official notice “Easter: encounter with God and the fellow”, the CEV resorts as in so many other occasions to an alarmist language - to say the minus and indicates that the democratic system is being placed in “serious risk of collapse””.

They consider that the warning of the episcopado one arises just “when in Venezuela, as says President Chávez, arises a string from justice. They are justice winds that arrive, to move away impunity and to fortify the fight against the corruption”.

We can accept, neither the town nor the Venezuelan State, that the actions in this sense are labeled like “political polarization” or “moral disqualification”, adds.

The government rejected the official notice of the CEV, and invited the bishops “to reflect deeply on the assumed positions, that far from to defend and to protect the sublime interests of the town, are oriented to the protection, defense and shelter of assassins, corrupt and violating, in complicity with the most sinister of the opposition coup participant”.
