I doubt that the outcome is known as the hearing won't be until February, but for certain the recent announcements about developing Las Brisas and Las Cristinas by government agencies using the GRZ and KRY plans exactly has cut off the Venezuelan defence lawyers at the knees!

Any argument against GRZ or KRY that depended on the viability, economics or environmental damage has just been invalidated by the goverment itself by this announcement. You can be certain that the ICSID will be aware of the confilct created by this. Either the minister is exceedingly careless or incompetant (or both) or they really intend to settle early and it is of no consequence.

However, to show your hand in advance isn't usually a smart move. (but then they are not noted for making smart moves)....
