I am reminded of the death of President Francisco Franco of Spain who died in 1975. His on again, off again death lasted for at least a month as the doctors propped him up with life support. His long demise became such a joke that when Franco finally did die Chevy Chase, on Saturday Night Live's Weekend Update, had the line: This just in....."President Francisco Franco of Spain is still dead".
