Revoked means US shares are cancelled.

That is simply a totally incorrect statement.

The revocation of a stock registration simply bars the stock from public trading, which requires SEC registration. It has absolutely no impact on the legal rights of the existing shareholders, other than not allowing them to trade. They still retain their relative ownership interest based on the number of shares held.

The purpose of revocation of registration is to prevent sale of the security to any future purchasers based on the lack of required information to allow an informed purchase.

Perhaps you are not aware that most corporations in the United States are not publicly traded. Corporations that are not publicly held do not have to produce annual reports or follow GAAP accounting, or do a lot of other things required by the SEC.
