Last month Electrovaya hired a project coordinator in South Africa. Her previous two years were with Eskom in South Africa. https://qz.com/africa/1435443/eskoms-battery-storage-project-a-move-to-renewable-energy/ RFI was done in the spring https://renewablesnow.com/news/eskom-explores-the-ground-for-energy-storage-adoption-610527/ It involves 47 sites (may be 90 sites) https://renewablesnow.com/news/eskom-plans-800-mwh-of-battery-storage-by-dec-2019-631306/ . Testing multiple technologies http://www.ee.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/Peter-Langley_Eskom_Key-learnings-from-a-battery-test-facility.pdf . With the hiring of a project coordinator there it would appear that either they are involved in the testing or have been chosen to provide system(s). Their cycle life would make them competitive. Something to keep our eyes on. Could this be the reason the insiders all bought in?
