Because the sales price is higher than everyone else.  Electrovaya will not cut their price.  They loose the bid every time.  If you want quality, you have to pay for it.  Also EV companies do not need the high cycle life.  They would be happy with 800 cycles so you would have to buy a new vehicle every few years.  A battery that does not wear out quickly is not what they want.  That is why Electrovaya is doing well in the heavy equipment industry.  They are willing to pay for quality and high cycle life and no fires. 

I am also looking at a much lower priced solid state cell that will compete on price and have even higher energy density than the Infinity cell.  Then we may see an EV sales contract.
