Solid.  Brand new technology just being developed and PATENTED.  Involves nano technology.  If I am wrong, then someone will correct me.  This is used in the solid state cell.  The problems they were having with it was Repeatability.  Getting the manufacturing process nailed down to the poing that all the cells performed the same.  That was a while back so maybe that is in the rear view mirror.
