If a member records a low score on a post, does that low score get removed if the same poster gets banned?

I have had many "new" members and they have been banned - giving 1 star to posts, reducing the Score for members that actually contribute more than I. If we cannot block the spoofed IP addresses then perhaps we should address the coordinated attack on excellent posters.
