No apparent reason for the volume or price action today. In the absence of any hard news my guess would be that the market has seen GOG's potential in their present drilling area and at San Diego. With only less than 40 million shares outstanding the market cap is only about $25.5 million. The assets should be very attractive to the right buyer at this level. I personally wouldn't mind seeing this company "in play" with a few potential buyers trying to outbid each other.
