VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - March 28, 2008) - JEMTEC (TSX VENTURE:JTC) ("JEMTEC" or the "Company"), the leading provider of integrated technology systems for community based corrections in Canada, has been notified that the Company was not the successful bidder in response to a Request for Proposals issued by the Province of Ontario's Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services ("MCSCS") for its electronic supervision system.

In November 2007, the Company presented a competitive proposal in response to MCSCS request for proposals for a new agreement. The Company had been the primary supplier to MCSCS under a five year contract which was originally due to expire in January, 2008 but was subsequently extended to August 31, 2008 (see JEMTEC's news release dated March 5, 2008). The decision by MCSCS to discontinue the use of the Company's services after August 31, 2008 will adversely affect the Company's operating results. The Company will continue to earn revenues on its agreements with the Province of Saskatchewan, the Province of Nova Scotia and on its bail clients.
