Welcome, Montre, to our little band of LAC supporters here on Agoracom's LAC Hub.  Montre just joined Agoracom today, 9 January 2022.

The rest of us can welcome him by giving 5/5 point evaluation for his first post.  Glad to have you join us, Montre!

The reference to Elisabeth comes from Cal's previous post:  "How idiotic are they?

"...Elisabeth Robson wrote on the website, “Many people believe they can’t live without cars. But all humans lived without cars until a mere 113 years ago, and we can do so again. A world without cars is a quieter, slower, and more wonderful world, not just for humans but for everyone.”

My question to Elisabeth would be: What happens when your present computer gives out and it is time for you to buy another computer?  How likely do you think that Dell is going to transport your new computer on the back of a mule to your home?  Since it is going to be many years , if ever, before all electricity is generated via alternative energy sources then another question seems pertinent?  Where is the energy going to come from to run your computer if the evils of fossil based fuels are eliminated in the meantime?  Any travel plans you have for a vacation better be limited to how far you can walk in a day and as for using your present list of grocery stores and departement stores, how do you think they are going to be restocked with goods.?  Hope you like growing your own food, raising your own cattle, pigs and chickens and then slaughtering them and butchering them.  Hope you know how to make your own cloth and to sew your own clothes.  You will have to master hundreds of skills that you never learned before and you won't have any leisure time since all of your time will be occupied in just doing the chores necessitated by a life you and the other environmentalist wackos have trapped yourselves in with you ludicrous and non realistic view of life in the good old days.  Lots of Luck, because you will need every bit of luck and 24 hour a day human toil in a labor of self sustainment.  It would be a bit of poetic justice for you and a return to anything but an idulic life for the rest of us.  Just sayin'    Okiedo
