In my opinion, Thacker Pass is coming too late to the party. It is going to take 3 years to build it, in Jon Evans terms is will rather be 5 years and by then, the cars are going to be powered by the Moon light or something like that.

Republicans, once gets back to the White House are going to kill EV subsidies and unless they make it like in EU (ie mandatory) very few people are going to buy them.
