Daily Lithium price, Lme Comex Shfe Price of Lithium live | SMM - Metal Market

If you go to these individual pricing stats for each type of lithium product and look over far to the right for a small arrow pointing either UP or DOWN and then put your cursor on that arrow and Enter then you will see a graph for that particular form of lithium product that covers from 4 January 2024 until the 1st of February 2024.

It is a mixed bag.  Some lithium products are UP and some are DOWN.

I suspect that with all the popular press negative articles about BEVs lately that the projections are down vs what they might have been a few months ago.  Lots of horror stories about how Winter is killing transportation in cities with very cold temps where EV owners are stymied by extreme conditions adversely affecting their BEVs.

The "Journalist" swamp smell blood in the water so it seems that the only thing that comes out of their keyboards lately has been in reference to the demise of the electric vehicle "Dream".  They are like children at summer camp sitting around the campfire telling ghost stories trying to see who can scare the other kids the most.  "Trendy" is a concept that characterizes most of the Journalism crowd to a "T".  They see someone else writing a hit piece on BEVs and that inspires them to do the same, to Hell with doing any real research on the subject.

BEVs have their limitations and extreme weather conditions brings that to focus better than anything else.  My own concept of the adoption of electric vehicles doesn't embrace the "US vs Them" approach incorporated by the belief that EVs should totally replace ICE vehicles.  I think that when it is way down the road, say 15 to 20 years from now, that some balance will return to this polarized way of thinking.  Most likely there will be a resurgence of interest in hybrid vehicles on the one hand and in a two vehicle modality for other auto owners fortunate financially to aford that choice.  In the latter situation many car owners will have both an ICE vehicle and a BEV and adjust their driving modus to which method is most suitable at the time and in "good weather" possibly use the BEV for more local driving missions vs for longer trips take the ICE vehicle.  If there does become a readily available source in North America and Europe of relatively "cheap" (there is a wide variation in what should be the proper definition for "cheap") cars then those who can only afford the less expensive EVs might adjust their  transportation seasonally to accomodate their use of their EV when it is possible and when there are no serious weather constraints vs using public transportation of some sort when weather conditions are more extreme.

Those who have bought BEVs, especially the high end BEVs, and not researched the limitations of these vehicles have no one to blame for their folly than themselves.  There has always been plenty of detailed information available in the public realm to potential car buyers about the advantages and the constraints of BEV ownership.  The Journalist Swamp is acting as if it is the end of the BEV and that 100% of BEV owners are disgruntled and ashamed that they have been "duped" into buying a BEV.  On the contrary, the future desire to own a BEV will now be in consideration of a more knowledgeable car buyer, one who really has researched the subject in its positive and negative reality instead of those who blindly read the garbage that comes out of the computer keyboards of the Journalist Swamp.

In summary, a more educated car buyer and a renewed interest in bridging technology and electric vehicle ICE/BEV hybrids will result in a renewal of an increase in demand for battery power applications for powering all sorts of vehicles on the ground, on the water and in the air.

What we are going through now is simply a dose of reality for those who gave only a superficial glance, if even that, to the full picture of how electric vehicles would become more widely used by the general public and the previously thought very short time role of "bridging technology" will now be seen in a more realistic role... as it should have been in the first place.

As the Wind shifts the trendy lemmings who occupy the Journalistic Swamp will, in the end, make adjustments and there will be less and less articles about the Death of BEVs in society overall and the J. degree folks will, as time goes on, again make an effort to actually reflect the Gestalt of the situation instead of the bottom of their Martini galass, the bottom of their Beer Stein or through the pungent smoke filled haze coming from the hot end of their particular tobacco substitute of the moment.

Onward through the FOG... and the Swamp!
