Message: Oversupply effect on the Wannabees

Hi, JD.  My criticism of Ark's overly optimistic projections takes note of the fact that the Biden administration has ordered that 1/2 of all new vehicles after 2030 should be EVs and that by 2035 all new vehicles  purchased by the U.S. government should be EVs:

https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/statements-releases/2023/04/17/fact-sheet-biden-harris-administration-announces-new-private-and-public-sector-investments-for-affordable-electric-vehicles/

https://www.reuters.com/world/us/biden-pledges-end-gas-powered-federal-vehicle-purchases-by-2035-2021-12-08/

No doubt that ARK believes the Biden Administration will be able to implement its self delusion and accomplish its objectives with no resistance from the U.S. consumers.

My objection to ARK's projections for the transition to electric vehicles is based on my belief that a simple pontification and declaration by the Biden Administration will not in any way be reflective of reality, especially since even if he is re-elected he and his administration will not be in office in 2030 to enforce those pontifications, much less be in office in 2035.

I think that ARK is linking his projections to the flimsiest of possible justifications, pontifications made in political fantasy land.

Somewhere between the land of NEVER EV advocates on the one hand and EVs Forever advocates on the other is the answer of how the needle will tip in the real world of in between reality since ICE vehicles are not going away and EVs are not going to disappear.  Between these two extreme positions lies the truth for today and tomorrow.
