IMHO, this quote about Turley, his wife and his kids is speaking to his other (non-business) successes.  HE was attractive enough, in all measures (wit, charm, etc.)  to "capture" a real catch in a wife - pretty, capable and smart.  He has "over-achieving" kids - still another demonstration of success in the non-business aspect of his world. And the brain-damaged dog - expresses more of his human side, tolerance, acceptance, patience (after all, upon discovering his dog's apparent weakness, he didn't just get rid of it).  Overall, I found this quote to be more a reflection of the overall man, with some humor thrown in.

I guess it doesn't amaze me that some here choose to pick at anything they perceive as "weak" or "lame", with so little real thought.  Just as it doesn't surprise me that strangers come out of the woodwork to suggest BS that we've overcome long ago.

But it does surprise me that so many, that have been here a long time, continue to bitch and moan that the company hasn't done anything.....  I'll again (for the umteenth time) suggest that UNTIL THE MARKMAN IS DONE IN OUR FAVOR IT WOULD BE INCREDIBLY STUPID FOR PTSC TO INTRODUCE MORE RISK ON TOP OF THAT WE CURRENTLY ENDURE.  I'm yelling it this time, so maybe it will penetrate.  I've suggested this so many times, and I'VE NEVER RECEIVED A RESPONSE (other than agreement from a few).  Why are we trading the way we have?  PERCEIVED RISK.  Add more?  Yea, THAT would be just brilliant, IMO (sarcasm intended).

And why did Pohl say those things re: "SP perplexing" and about dividends?  Probably because, in his view, they're true.  IF you (like he) had complete confidence in the MMP (i.e., there is no risk), you too would be perplexed - the demand for the stock should overwhelm any S&L actions.  With each new signing, he probably thought the perceived risk was reduced - it wasn't - and that too is perplexing (to anyone with a brain).  And it is true that some folks (more mature/aged, IMO) seek out stocks that offer dividends (my brother is one, based on his interaction with successful friends of his ilk).  And, by gosh, Pohl just turned 70 - maybe of the same ilk?

"Pick alittle, talk alittle, pick alittle, talk alittle, pick pick pick, talk alittle more."  He made brazen overchores!  Time for some to go rehearse for a dance recital, IMO.

But I KNOW nuttin'!
