You raise valid points, but its the remaining J3 (j2.5?) that may have been the small fish and therefore the reason they held out because their position was "hey we should not have to pay as much as those other guys because...(insert technical explanation here)" and maybe we eventually realized they were right. And I assume we are going to go after all infringers. Also, keep in mind I have not completlely abandoned the idea that more money is coming.
