is there another factor? If there was no law suit with TPL, would we be collecting licenses from infringers at a decent clip? I wonder about the number of sharp teeth our patents actually have. In my business experience, when the planets are aligned, everthing is going gangbusters and there is money to be made; there are very few law suits, in-fighting and disputes. On the flip side when things are bad and going down the tubes parties start fighting, blaming and suing.

I have know idea what are patents are really worth but just wanted to hear anyone elses thoughts on the elephant in the room that I keep wondering about.
