Doubling or tripling your money over a short time, to say the least, is very very attractive, but it depends on the risk factor.

If your timing is good, its best to buy when the stock price is depressed, it lower the risk and increases your profits.

IMO, an optimistic message board can make a difference in the price of the stock.

On this board, as the price rises there is very little, if any, pessimistic messages.

Why would anyone with a lot of his money tied up in a stock, write pessimistic messages before they sell that stock??? Common practice is if you are that pessimistic wherein you have to post warnings to others or advertise it, you sell out first.

Sometimes you might want to test the water to see what others think, but it is not likely that you would dwell on it for a long period of time.
