Metals Stocks: Gold and other metals turn lower on the heels of Tuesday rally

Gold and other metals futures dropped Wednesday, a reversal following the metals' strong rally in the previous session. Gold for April delivery surrendered $9.60 to stand at $920.20 an ounce on the New York Mercantile Exchange. On Tuesday, gold futures soared $23.70 an ounce, or nearly 3%. "Technical factors suggest that gold may consolidate before attempting new highs," said analysts at Action Economics.
