Message: Seven nanometres for the electronics of the future

The Paul Scherrer Institute in Switzerland announced today that they have created a regular pattern of parallel lines in a semiconductor material that are seven nanometres wide. They used their synchrotron radiation source (Swiss Light Source, SLS) to create the extreme ultraviolet (EUV) light for illumination.
