Nice to see the BB photonics site, a reminder of their presence in the company.

Aside from the acquisition itself, BB seems to have flown pretty much under the radar.  From what I have seen, not a lot discussed about what they brought to the table (technologically) and if/how it may integrate into the POET solution.  Management found them for a reason, why? Just headhunting or technology or both? Any thoughts on this?

Prior to acquisition they had been working on technology utilizing spot size converters as part of a custom photonic integrated circuit (PIC) that eliminates the need for cooling.  Is this effort continuing as an independent vertical or somehow an addition as added value to the POET solution?

Interesting Optoelectronics Technology Roadmap chapter from Bill Ring et al (although slightly dated - 2009) talks about current and emerging technologies, move from copper to optical interconnects and on-chip optical interconnects, at the time the latter stated to be about 10 years off (2019).  It appears this man really knows his stuff, I'd like to see what he is concentrating on today!
