Re: "Even sales of $20 million from Denselight in the next year or two would put all of us in the black"
Respectfully I disagree.
There are some people that are quite excited about the potential for Denselight, and some that aren't (myself included). I am much more interested in the POET technology, and that is what I invested in. If owning Denselight significantly enhances the sales of products with POET technology, then great. If Denselight sales soar, then great (or at least stop losing money). It is good to have a clear idea on what Denselight sales mean for the SP. If there were $20,000,000 in sales, I estimate the SP would be at ~ $.50 based on those sales. Likely my example would be on the high side, and the SP would be lower.
$20,000,000 in sales = $6,000,000 earnings (assuming 30% return, which may or may not be appropriate)
The average P/E ratio for the Technology sector for the 4th quarter 2016 is 22, so let's use that (which may or may not be appropriate).
$6,000,000 x 22 = $132,000,000 market cap
With ~ 260,000,000 shares (will be higher with further dilution and if recent warrants are exercised), SP = $0.51
Lots of assumptions, but I think it is safe to say that the above calculations would not be out by an order of magnitude. I also think $20,000,000 in sales is a stretch, but hopefully I am surprised.
In other words, IMO, it is all about POET technology if we want a significantly higher SP. Not to diminish optimism, but we should understand how the Denselight sales fit into the overall picture.
Let's get a POET prototype out there!!
Good luck!!
