BrahMos uses large electronics circuits and heavy guidance systems and components.
From R&R re the GaAs platform re partnership.
we surmise perhaps defense-related application given the monolithic chip’s small form factor and the fact that the command and control flight system of the new Joint Strike fighter (F-35) is completely based on optical fiber (copper is both too heavy and far more expensive), we would believe it might be a large, almost limitless resourced, major defense contractor that could drive continued GaAs research and development. POET, we believe, would recognize NRE (non-recurring engineering) revenue should a deal be consummated. We expect that POET might be able to offer more information regarding this development as the year progresses.
