That is false information My POET. The problem as we have been told is access to the 4th terminal of the thyristor based VCSEL. The same epi that was used for the VCSEL is the same used in the fabrication of the HFETs and detector.
The existing epi will require adjustment so more time and money.
This is why they need a partner and we expect it will be India.
We are however very fortunate in my opinion that industry needs a lower cost solution in 100G which POET is developing with exceptional ROI expected to be realised in 2018 which I might add has not moved within the roadmap between the Sept presentation and the current Dec presentation.
