What about Geoff Taylor? Geoff was insistent that the POET design needed to be transferred to a fab as the next step in its development. Apparently it was not as simple a task as he believed it would be. Or Ajit or Suresh. They had confidence that it could be done. Geoff told a crowd of us during an AGM tour that there were tricks to build the laser and that those tricks could absolutely be transferred to a fab. Which does not mean they will not get it done but it is going to take time and a more sustained approach on someone else's dime. We think it is India with the 3 year staged development that Suresh believed would be required but we don’t know yet.
