Message: Why

I have been giving this some thought. Why are there some people here that don’t get it? There seems to be a lack of understanding just how much it costs for a semiconductor start-up to introduce a new product. There should at least be some level of understanding of the kind of costs required. Many people here have worked hard to try and understand what the optical interposer is and the breakthrough it represents. Many have a hard time accepting that it is a breakthrough and really can be the solution that industry needs. And it is a multibillion dollar industry. I believe the company will be introducing a presentation to help investors and potential investors to understand what it is, how it can be used and the improvements in cost and efficiencies will become apparent and the light will hopefully burn a little brighter on what it represents as an investment. And just maybe that will be enough to help people realise that there are some big costs involved in product development and high volume manufacturing. There are some here that had no idea of what it was that Accelink was providing and that the costs/services being covered by them to test and qualify these products will be a major benefit (savings) to POET. Accelink want the development cycle accelerated in both 100G and 400G and it can be accelerated.

I feel sad for people who somehow think that management are not carrying the ball here. Your wrong, terribly wrong and it must lead to great frustration for those that feel that way. So I am sorry for that. This link will at least provide some idea of the kinds of costs involved and maybe after reading it you will come to realise just how much traction POET is getting out of each dollar and think about why they are in Singapore and the benefits that it is providing not just in financial support but the access to technical support.
