That's exactly what I think, Guernsey21. They were close. Maybe someone will co-develop GaAs with them down the road once POET proves themselves successfully with current technology they are bringing to market. POET is bringing their lowest hanging fruit to market first and based on packaging costs being lower, agnostic waveguides and being a photonic product, they still bring a disruption to the market anyway; and this is the first to bring in serious revenue which naturally can open doors to further InP opportunities and even GaAs opportunities when/if they want to.
