I find it a little bit strange that this news was issued so close to Q3 report. It essentially focused on some new revenue, likely NRE, that you would expect to be the main feature of a quarterly release.

So, why do this? I can think of a few distinct possibilities.

1. They have a bunch of good news to share and want to dole it out to gain maximum effectiveness.

2. They have some bad news coming and wanted to isolate the good news in its own release.

3. They were unhappy with the downward slide of the share price and wanted to correct it.

Any other theories?
