Time is kind of a key factor here Baba. You can't rush a fine wine.

There were a lot of people who were apparently surprised by the fact that POET is not building a transceiver and even after it was explained in the last webcast there were questions.

POET is building optical engines. They have perfected the process of depositing the dielectrics and etching the waveguides as required to produce a variety of optical engine applications. That effort has taken the better part of a year and I expect it will continue well into the future as new applications come into focus.

But the bottom line is and continues to be that POET is building new products with higher levels of integration for leading companies. Obviously they can’t directly name these companies or even provide specific detail on what these products are.

It is not difficult to understand that it is a very competitive landscape and the optical  interposer represents a huge departure in this  large space. Improved economics and performance combined with high volume manufacturing is something that companies who require  optical integration have been looking for. Can it be any wonder that a level  of secrecy is maintained under NDA.

In terms of industry timelines to develop and build new products there is absolutely nothing unusual about this.
