Aiming to become the global leader in chip-scale photonic solutions by deploying Optical Interposer technology to enable the seamless integration of electronics and photonics for a broad range of vertical market applications

Each week in this country people part with their hard earned cash to be ‘in it to win it’ with our national lottery or even participate in the euro lottery where prize money oft reaches eye watering figures. Perhaps the odds of POET succeeding when calculated in its early formative days when we hung on every announcement, I might add with all of us complaining just as much then as we do now regarding the lack of news, made us similarly optimistic despite being hugely stacked against us. We invested in the idea that optoelectronic products (Photons as a transport of binary data) were inevitably going to surpass what could be achieved with electrons, indeed Moore’s Law could be observed reaching its finite physical limits.

The probability that we were wise is investing in a such high risk venture has significantly changed in our favour with the Optical Interposer now nearing its production phase.  The silence has meaning as that is exactly how POET should behave at such a critical phase when the arrangements to supply customers are being finalised.  From tomorrow onwards the gates have to begin to open to a degree and I would imagine that a coordinated planned reveal can begin, or alternatively a rational to delay has to be given to shareholders which is in itself news.  A holding excuse would appear limp, as limp as the 4th trench of fund raising.

Yes management now have to demonstrate performance by one measure or another imminently.
