AGORACOM NEWS FLASH

Dear Agoracom Family,

I want to thank all of you for your patience with us over the past 48 hours and apologize for what was admittedly a botched launch of our new site.

As you can see, we have reverted back to the previous version of the site while we address multiple forum functionality flaws that inexplicably made their way into the launch.

To this end:

1.We have identified 8 fundamental but easily fixable flaws that will be corrected in the coming week, so that you can continue to use the forums exactly as you've been accustomed to.

2.Additionally we will also be implementing a couple of design improvements to "tighten up" the look and feel of the forums.

Sincerely,

George et al

ABC: Is this now different to what we knew from POET? Is Lisa conservative here now due to the past, or am mixing up things on that timeline?

From Poet´s latest Blog:

As we have stated, POET will release four products into production by the end of 2022. Those products are: 100G CWDM4 TX, 100G CWDM4 RX, 200G RX, and 400G RX. And then there will be another four products released for production in the first half of 2023. The status “Released to Production” means that POET has frozen the design (usually in connection with a module maker after all the required or requested tweaks have been made). The module maker then orders POET Optical Engines to include in its initial samples that go to its customers for evaluation. Then there is qualification, then purchase orders. During that period there will be some production of inventory and revenue associated with that work. Meanwhile, our customer engagements and design-in activities continue to gain momentum, with at least two customers in China to get into production early next year. And we have multiple design-in activity with other module customers.

To me it doesn´t sound very different. Lisa tried to translate this into numbers. Customers order samples, build own initial samples, their own customers doing their evaluation, then qualification, PO´s, manufacturing, delivery, billing, payment.

2024, here we are.

@ Cookie: That´s Poet´s fact.
