That said, I have got to say one of the following presenters caught my eye. 1st generation cyborg anyone.

 

Prof Takao Someya is Executive Director and Vice President (responsibility: start-up, capitalization of knowledge) and Professor at the University of Tokyo.

He is also Team Leader at the Center for Emergent Matter Science in RIKEN. Additional positions he held include Global Scholar at Princeton University, GlobalFoundaries Visiting Professor at NUS, and Hans Fisher Senior Fellow at Technical University of Munich. At UTokyo, he has been professor at the Graduate School of Engineering since 2009 serving as Dean AY2020-2022.

His area of expertise is soft electronics using organic semiconductors, developing the world’s first electronic artificial skin with qualities resembling human skin which can measure temperature and pressure distribution. The 16th Leo Esaki Prize (2019) is among the awards recognizing his achievements.

He served on the board of directors of the Material Research Society (MRS) in the US 2009-2011 and began his term as President from January 2024.
