Do you believe that if the company safeguards its technology and patents, it mitigates the risk of the know-how leaving?

We shareholders own the patents but patents didn’t enable the 200G Lambda, people did. People with deep knowhow. And those people would be a huge asset to those with big financial backing to improve what they are trying to achieve right now and that is to copy what POET has achieved. 

CAI was looked at for any sign of patent infringement. It was determined that there was none. Obviously they have achieved a high level of success with their fabric. I don't think it approaches the efficiency of what POET is doing but those with knowhow could certainly provide some insights into alternate workarounds.

Our patents are worth a lot of money so maybe we don't get beat too badly and just maybe that would be best for all of us so we can get on with life without POET.

That is a big maybe. I prefer to do whatever I can to avoid risking what is left of my investment. I am looking for a very big payoff and if I have to swallow hard to do it then that is what I will do.
