I thought maybe at some point POET would sell off its share to raise capital but I am stuck as to what value it has without POET being there.

You make it sound like this won't happen. What makes you believe that?  "At some point" is very ambiguous and so give it time.  I believe it will happen, it's still very early days.  Foxconn news will have surely move us closer to the 51/49 split originally communicated
