If you go the AI Breakthrough Award website: https://aibreakthroughawards.com/2024-winners/ you'll see that the winners are broken into categories (Data & Analytics, Generative AI, Robotics...).

POET won in the "Vision" category (next to companies that can detect firearms in video feeds, or eye problems in a optometrist's office). Why POET was placed in with this cohort is anyone's guess (lack of an appropriate hardware grouping?).

I'm happy to see that this award is a validation for POET's applicability to AI as a whole.
