AGORACOM NEWS FLASH

Dear Agoracom Family,

I want to thank all of you for your patience with us over the past 48 hours and apologize for what was admittedly a botched launch of our new site.

As you can see, we have reverted back to the previous version of the site while we address multiple forum functionality flaws that inexplicably made their way into the launch.

To this end:

1.We have identified 8 fundamental but easily fixable flaws that will be corrected in the coming week, so that you can continue to use the forums exactly as you've been accustomed to.

2.Additionally we will also be implementing a couple of design improvements to "tighten up" the look and feel of the forums.

Sincerely,

George et al

Message: Re: Washington Weighs Another Crackdown As Germany Reportedly Plans To Snub US And Side With Huawei

I certainly never suggested Huawei was more or less dangerous than any of the establishments you listed.

This world has become an information bank, and everyone is trying to break in, for various reasons; some want you to buy their crap, some want to know what you are doing in your meeting. This is now the world we live in.

The question is how do people want to protect their information?

Some want nothing and post their daily movements on FB FFS.

Others have firewalls surrounding their computers, allowing nothing in or out.

It's a big question, but personally I would not want someone snooping on my surfing habits, it's no one's business other than mine, unless i give explicit permission to do so, which I never would.

This is the real fear of having Huawei (or just about anyone else) produce our internet hardware.
