Congrats to Columbia Engineering researchers Alexander Gaeta, Michal Lipson, Keren Bergman, and Yoshi O. on the $10M funding round for their new startup, Xscape Photonics Inc! Xscape (https://lnkd.in/ex5f9ZK7) uses photonics to realize scalable, high-bandwidth, energy-sustainable, and cost-effective solutions that enable the next generation of AI, ML, and simulation hardware. Excited to see another semiconductor startup launching in NYC, and in Harlem to boot! Thanks to Columbia Technology Ventures' Greg Maskel for his work on this.
