A while back I asked if anyone had ideas on the VIX. Didn't hear from anyone. Anhow, on Fri, I took a small position on the VIX a s alitle insurance to try to protect some of my gains against market shocks. Well, weekend news made me more nervous and I put stops on many stocks, a couple hit them today and I have been buying the VIX with the proceeds. I confess, I have beenusing the HVU which is 2x levered so must be cautious. However, e were in the 15 range on the VIX last wk, around 21 as I speak. 15 is multi yr low territory, numbers inthe 0-40 range are almost common and the VIX spiked to near 90 during the big crash.

Not sure where it is going or telling anyone else to jump in but it may be a way to profit from some instability.
