BAZ:
Chemotherpeutics are outside my comfort zone but a little investigating resulted in the following "Black Box Warnings". Most are likely related to standard or high dosing, but I Boldened the 2 which specifically mentioned lower dosing.
1) Fetal Death/Congenital Abnormalities: woman of child bearing age stay away. Really not an issue due too young women usually don't suffer from CVD
2) Impaired Drug Elimination: reduced in renal impairment, ascites or pleural effusions, closely monitor for toxicity, likely an issuse with higher dosing and less so with low doses
3)Concomitant NSAID Use: Unexpectedly severe and sometimes fatal myelosuppression, aplastic anemis, and GI toxicity (usually high dose) in combo w/ some NSAIDs
4)Hepatotoxicity: usually with high dosing, acute elevation in LFTs is not uncommon and transient and asymptomatic although not predictive of later hepatic disease (dz) and no elevated LFTs is not predicitive of later hepatic dz, abnormal.
5) Pulmonary Toxicity: has occured at low doses
6) GI Toxicity
7) Malignant Lymphoma: May occur with low dose treatment
There are others but seen at high dosing
