I don't think it was an iceberg in point of fact, or anything like that. My thinking is that those 3,000 showing on the Ask at $1.25....I'm thinking there's a good chance they don't even exist. Market Makers provide liquidity to the market, even if there are no buy orders in they will provide a quote on the bid side, likewise if there is nobody selling...they will quote a number of shares as being available and a price.
This is all jmo but I've done a ton of reading on this stuff....I suspect that my order was filled below what was being quoted on the ask in an effort to make me think:
'Dang, that was easy....and they sold it to me for less than I was willing to pay, someone must want out bad'.
The reason I believe retail investors so often lose, its because they think that things must be exactly as they appear....
