Message: Re: Could BETonMACE Cognition Sub-Study be presented at AAIC this month?

Wow - that title sure leads to letdown if results are not presented!  Analysis of MoCa scores could be pretty straightforward and remember that according to this poster BETonMACE cognition sub-study some preliminary analysis of MoCa data was already underway months ago.  Perhaps it's another 'preliminary' assessment carried out with no differentation of control and treatment groups (just an indication that they have the power to detect a small difference in Moca between the groups if it exists but no knowledge on whether it actually exists or not) but that would also be disappointing.

Perhaps they are ready to go with the analysis (just plug in some final numbers and push the button on the statistical analysis) and and are expecting database lock in the next week or so (seems optimistic, I know).  They could get the presentation completed in time for the meeting but it would be tight! With respect to presenting the cognition results before topline...well, perhaps it's a way to cover your bets in case topline isn't quite as good as hoped.
