iconoclast - I just finished watching, for the 3rd time, the ESC Congress 2019 round-up video that GAC posted a few days ago here https://agoracom.com/ir/Resverlogix/forums/discussion/topics/730520-esccongress-2019-round-up/messages/2240659#message 

The overall message seemed to be that Drs. are going to have to expand their field of expertise. One comment was, Cardiologists are going to have to become diabologists. That comment was around the discussion of SGLT2's. Also in the same segment there was excitement that the SGLT2 that they were discussing worked nicely in non-diabetics which they stated was a great find. My thought was, will they find the same thing with apabetalone in the future?

The opening comments were, new therapies, new breakthroughs like being back in the 90's. That seems to be what apabetalone is all about. A new therapy, first in class. A new approach, a new breakthough. Let's hope the trial results support our best thoughts and delivers more than we hope it will. More than that though, lets hope the commentators that will be wrapping up the AHA conference deliver those wrapping comments with as much excitement as the people delivering the closing comments from the ESC did.
